Deep Clean Kitchen Floor

I don’t know about you, but at the end of each day, my kitchen floors look like a mini trash can. Can I blame it on the cats? Why yes, I think I can! I don’t remember the floors being a nearly as dirty pre-kitty cat.

Anyway…
When you periodically deep clean your kitchen floors, it helps maintain their appearance and their value. Let us all take some time today to deep clean the kitchen floor as we begin to wrap up the kitchen.
GATHER YOUR SUPPLIES
• Rainbow with the hose, floor tool, crevice tool
• Nylon pan scraper
• Cleaning cloth
• Rainjet and Jetpad

SET A TIMER

“Those who make the worst use of their time are the first to complain of its brevity.” – Jean de La Bruyere

No complaining allowed today! Decide on your allotted time for this task. Set your timer.

DEEP CLEAN KITCHEN FLOOR

First, use your Rainbow and slowly go over your floors. Use the crevice tool around the edges.

Concentrate on picking up all of the food and dirt particles. Make sure to focus on all the crevices and molding under the cabinets.

Next, get down on your hands and knees with a scraper and damp cleaning rag.

Use the scraper to remove dried food and use the damp rag to wipe up spills. You will be much more pleased with the finished results today if you don’t short-change yourself on these first two steps. It’s truly worth it!

Finally, Rainjet as usual.

I personally like to use the Rainjet with the scrub brush attachment (because we have ceramic tile and the squeegee picks up the dirty water without spreading it all over the floor), also change the tank to clean water to rinse any residue off the floor, but if you don’t have one, a wet cleaning rag should do the trick.

I deliberately made this a short post with 3 easy steps so I could trick you into thinking this was a quick and easy task. Well…actually it will be quick and easy for you and the results will speak for themselves.

Your assignment for today:
• Set your timer. Then work to the deep clean the kitchen floor.
• Continue working on our Habit #2.
• Consider adding this to your Rainbow calendar.
