I have a challenge for you this month:
Clean your kitchen every night!
How? Two ways…
1. It will save you TIME!
If you’re in the habit of letting pots, pans, and dishes sit overnight, then you know how much work it takes to clean them the following day. When food stays on dishes overnight, it dries and hardens. That means it takes more effort to clean! Simply cleaning off dishes as the mess is made will save time.
When we start each day with a spotless kitchen and an empty dishwasher, we (and our families) can put dirty dishes into the dishwasher immediately instead of putting them in the sink or on the counter.
That means your final nightly cleanup will take mere minutes because most of the work is already done for you!
2. Waking up to a clean kitchen does wonder for your mood!
Walking into a disastrous kitchen as you peel your eyes open doesn’t exactly say “Good Morning!”.
But when you walk into a sparkling kitchen to cook a healthy breakfast, it’s easy to jump right into your morning routine because the tough work has already been finished. You can start your day charging ahead instead of cleaning up the past.
If you can get in the habit of starting each day with a clean slate, life in the kitchen will be incredibly easier and cleaning up won’t take nearly as long. When I do things right, it takes about 5 minutes to clean our kitchen. That might seem impossible to you right now, but try timing yourself. It might not take as long as you think!
So, are you in? Can you commit to making this a habit for an entire month?
Your assignment for today:
Go clean your kitchen…make it spotless!!
