Today’s task may not be the most pleasant, but at least we won’t have to get our hands dirty! Every time I share this handy trick, people seem to love it. So, I thought I’d mention it again while we’re working on our fun outdoor projects.
**How to Clean Your Outdoor Garbage Can**
Those large outdoor trash cans can be tricky to clean, but fortunately, there’s an easy method:
1. Place your trash can in an area of the yard, street, or driveway where it can get wet.
2. Squirt a bit of dish soap inside it.
3. Use a hose with a sprayer attachment to spray down the trash can.
4. Empty the soapy water.
5. Rinse the can thoroughly.
6. Repeat the process if necessary.
The soap will create a lot of suds, but the powerful spray will usually remove the grime from the sides and bottom. In extreme cases, you may need to use a scrub brush for a deeper clean.
With this technique, you can achieve a sparkling clean garbage can while hardly having to touch it. That’s my kind of cleaning!
I know this task isn’t the most enjoyable, but it will be worth it.
