How to Clean the Bathroom Toilet
To deep clean your toilet inside and out, you first want to grab all of your supplies.
- Toilet brush
- Toilet cleaner
- Pumice stone if you need to remove a rust ring (you’ll want some gloves too!)
- Use a small, hard-bristled brush, but an old toothbrush will do in a pinch.
- All-purpose cleaner or disinfectant cleaner
- 2 cleaning cloths
- Screwdriver
Next, clean the inside of your toilet.
- Squirt the toilet bowl cleaner under the rim and let sit.
- Scrub with the toilet bowl brush.
- Flush.
- Use the Pumice stone if needed.
Next, clean the outside of your toilet.
- Squirt disinfectant cleaner all over the toilet.
- Use the small, hard-bristled brush to deep-clean all of the crevices around the seat and the base of the toilet.
- Wipe away grime with one of the cleaning rags.
- Repeat the disinfection process if needed. Pay attention to the seat, under the seat cover, around the base, and handle.
- Rinse and dry with the second cleaning rag.
Finally, do a little maintenance.
- Use your screwdriver to tighten the seat.
