Rainbow the Bed (and ceiling fan)

Rainbow the Bed (and ceiling fan)

Is your bedroom more clean and organized than it was two days ago? I sure hope so! Let’s move today number 3. We’re going to clean our sheets, flip the mattress (if needed) and clean the ceiling fan too.

First, clean the bedroom ceiling fan

Before you take off your bedsheets, clean your ceiling fan. You don’t want dust falling on your mattress, right!

Use your Rainbow Dusting Tool with 1 or 2 wand extensions, then cleaning your ceiling fan will be a cinch.

Here’s another trick I learned that makes the mess virtually disappear. Use a pillowcase to clean the ceiling fan without a mess. Just put the pillowcase over the entire blade and wipe. Better yet, put a microfiber cloth inside the pillowcase to “grab” the dust sitting on top of your fan.

Then wash your bedsheets.

How often do you wash your bedsheets? Unless you’re on a strict schedule, you may not be washing them nearly enough. It’s easy to let a few weeks, maybe even months, slip by without throwing them in the washing machine.

But do you know how often you should wash your bedsheets?

Every single. week.

You can get by with every other week but longer than that is definitely not going to cut it.

I don’t really want to tell you why you should wash your sheets often, but let’s just say it has to do with bugs, dust mites, dead skin cells, sweat, oil, and more. G. R. O. S. S.

I’m pretty sure that’s a good reason to clean our bedsheets today. Follow the manufacturer’s directions and give your bed sheets a good cleaning. Then add a note on your weekly calendar! Or add it to your Rainbow calendar. You just might sleep better tonight.

Oh, and while the sheets are off, Rainbowmate* the entire mattress, slowly and in both directions, the flip your mattress if you haven’t done that in a while!

Your assignment for today:

• Continue working on Habit #1.

• Clean your ceiling fan, flip & rotate your mattress, and clean your bedsheets.

* If you don’t have a Rainbowmate, ask your distributor how to earn one or purchase a new or gently used one.
