Detail Your Kitchen (like a car!)

You know the benefits of washing and Rainbowing a vehicle. A clean vehicle makes it fun to drive your old car again.

But have you ever had your car detailed? The paint is polished. The trim and wheels are shined. Tiny crevices you rarely notice like door hinges and cup holders are deep cleaned. It makes a vehicle look and feel brand new again!
The same is true for your kitchen. Take some time to focus on the details.
GATHER YOUR SUPPLIES
Supplies needed are based on what you do today!
SET A TIMER
“Work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion.” (Parkinson’s Law)
Don’t hang out here all day – – Focus on a few details. Set a timer.
FOCUS ON THE KITCHEN DETAILS
Here are some ideas to get you started:
• Potholders and oven mitts: I say it almost every time I use them, “These need washing!” Food can easily stain and stick onto these items causing them to look old and worn. Wipe them down if they are rubber. Throw them in the washing machine if they are cloth. Do it. TODAY!
• Spatulas and cooking utensils: The dishwasher doesn’t always remove everything from cooking utensils. If you happen to have debris stuck on these items, give them a good hand scrubbing today.
• Floors of cabinets and drawers: We’ve already organized cabinets and drawers, but I want to make sure you’ve wiped them all down. Remove crumbs easily by using the hose attachment on your Rainbow.
• Sink, soap dispenser, water nozzle/hose, faucet: Pay attention to the base of your faucet and sprayer. Minerals from the water can cause buildup and staining. Use your deep clean brush set to get rid of any buildup that may have accumulated.

Remember that old vehicle made new again by deep cleaning and detailing?

Say “hello” to your old kitchen made new and welcoming again!!! You have accomplished so much these last few weeks. All those excuses for not cooking have disappeared…you knew it would come to this, right?

Your assignment for today:
• Set your timer. Then clean the often-overlooked details of your kitchen!
• Continue working on Habit #2.
• Consider adding this to your Rainbow calendar.
